Move

After expressing a desire to move, and dabbling with different areas we had all bu lost hope of moving.  On a lark Cathy applied for a new job and much to our surprise she was offered on the spot!

We thought we knew hectic... We did not.

Our home of 6 years sold from listing to close of escrow in an unheard of 7 weeks.  Like most of the country we were in a extremely depressed market.

One never realizes what one has until they try to move it!

We knew we were blessed due to the life we were able to live.  What we did not realize was how blessed with junk we were/are.  We found we had more stuff (a fair portion junk) than we deserved.

It was truly difficult to leave our family, friends, and church.   A new path lay before us and an adventure awaited.

After a tearful goodbye to our friends we set off.

After a stop along the way we got to see some beautiful parts of our country.

Another blessing was having grandma along for the trip.

We know they look innocent but don't be fooled they can be a few hands full!

After getting in late the night before we had a few hours sleep before the moving van arrived.  Loading the van took the better part of the day.  Surprisingly they had us unloaded in 4 hours.

Once our box maze was set up we got our beds in our rooms set up and went out and had a nice dinner.  Once home we were tried to get a few boxes un packed before bed.

The next morning we got our first snow.  It was quite pleasant to look out at it and the kids loved it.

It was nice to see the kids having such fun playing in the snow and getting those nice rosy cheeks.

we got a couple day reprieve before another bigger storm came by and dropped a few more inches of snow.

Alas we are still digging out of our boxes, not snow :-) and are enjoying our new home!

Below are a couple more pictures of our street after the last storm.
